2016 LLVM Developers' Meeting - Bay Area: Registration Opening Today!

Your are invited to attend the 2016 LLVM Developers’ Meeting on November 3-4 in San Jose, CA.

Registration will open today, July 1, at 5:00PM PDT.

You may register here:

Registration fees are $300 for the event and reception. A conference only registration is $250. Tickets will be capped at 400 attendees and the last day to register is October 19.

If you are a student, please contact the organizer for a student rate ($50/event, $25/reception). You must send us your student ID.

We would like this event to be accessible to all LLVM developers. If attending the meeting is cost prohibitive for any reason (i.e… you do not have an employer who refunds tickets fees, financial hardship, etc), please contact the organizer to discuss a discounted ticket.

Thank you,

Tanya Lattner
President, LLVM Foundation

I’m curious about the requirement to provide birth date—what’s that about?

I'm curious about the requirement to provide birth date—what's that about?

Liability reasons because we serve alcohol at the reception. I can change to age if thats better or ask if someone is under 21 but you may still be asked show ID if a server is unsure.

“I will be 21 or older as of the date of the conference (yes/no)” would be enough. Collecting too-specific personal info is poor privacy practice.

While I personally have not been carded in decades, I’d expect any server to check as appropriate in any case.

I’m happy to make this change. Thanks for the feedback.
