clang xcode project

Just a simple question.

What the purpose of the completely out of sync, broken clang xcode project file ?

I dunno; but FYI, you can use CMake to build an Xcode project. That's
one of the great things about CMake vs autotools.

Some people use it for navigation. I personally would like to see it removed.

Cough cough, few of us still use it. We would like to keep it up to date.

If you depend on the .xcodeproj, can’t you just run cmake -G Xcode /path/to/llvm? This will create an up-to-date .xcodeproj that actually builds llvm/clang.

Yes. I just don't do that too often and rely on clang.xcodeproj for browsing.
