I recently came across cmake-file-api
which I think does not have a lot of information elsewhere, apart from the official documentation. I am a beginner and It would be extremely helpful to see some examples and use cases where people use it.

I think you are in the wrong forum. This is the LLVM forum and while we use CMake I doubt you will get many replies to this here. Maybe see if CMake has its own forum or mailing list.
