Code owner for the new AVR backend

Hello all,

I have submitted and merged patches for most of the public modifications required for the AVR backend, and I am amount to start the process of adding the lib/Target/AVR directory piece by piece.

As this will be a significant portion of code (~7000 lines), it should have a code owner.

I have been working on the backend for the last year, maintaining it, overseeing contributions, and actively working on it. Because of this I believe I would be the suitable choice for the code owner.

Chris “generally supports” this, but suggested that I move this to llvm-dev from llvm-commits.

Thoughts welcome!

Ping.

I think you can probably treat that as a broad ‘no objection’ by the community. Are there any other active contributors to the AVR back end?

David

Haven’t worked on this yet, but I work on the gcc AVR backend (and binutils), and I’m very interested in this - I intend to work on it in my spare time.

And do you have any comments / objections to Dylan becoming the code owner?

David

I support this. Looking forward to it!

There are two - David and Anton. They both support this.

I’ll add myself to CODE_OWNERS.txt tomorrow if there are no objections in the meantime.

No, I don’t.

Committed in r251471.

Sounds good, thanks Dylan!

That would be me.

I do. I will support Dylan on the day-to-day as he sees fit and time allows.
