compilation on solaris

Hi all,

I am trying to compile LLVM in Solaris (sparc) and get the following error:

llvm[2]: Linking Debug+Asserts executable opt
ld: elf error: file
$HOME/build2.3/Debug+Asserts/lib/libLLVMNVPTXAsmPrinter.a:
elf_getarsym
ld: elf error: file
$HOME/build2.3/Debug+Asserts/lib/libLLVMNVPTXAsmPrinter.a:
elf_getarsym
ld: fatal: library -lLLVMNVPTXAsmPrinter: not found
ld: fatal: file processing errors. No output written to
$HOME/build2.3/Debug+Asserts/bin/opt
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status

Does anyone know if it can be compiled on Solaris?

best regards,

The manual at http://clang.llvm.org/docs/UsersManual.html#other-platforms says:

"clang currently contains some support for PPC and Sparc; however, significant pieces
of code generation are still missing, and they haven't undergone significant testing."

So it doesn't look as if the SPARC support is ready for use.
