I am currently supporting LLVM 13-16, so that people building my compiler may choose the LLVM which is supported on their platform. For example, on Mac one can get 15 using Homebrew now, but that one wasn’t immediately available. On some Linux variants, 14 is the version you commonly get with a packet manager etc.
Currently I’ve basically relied on waiting until a LLVM version is sufficiently old to stop supporting it. But that’s not an ideal method. It would be better if there were a few places that I could look at to see what LLVM versions are available.
So I’m asking the community here: do you have any recommendations / suggestions how to track what LLVM versions are easily available on various platforms?
