how to commit?

OK, it's been a couple years since I attempted to commit anything to
clang. I have a change that is approved in phabricator. When I
attempt to SVN commit with my username/password hash, I get an
authentication error.

What's the process now?

To clarify, when you say “username/password hash”, do you mean you’re using the crypt password hash (the one you emailed to Chris when requesting commit access)? If so, you need to be using the actual password instead.

Just to double-check: when you checked out the SVN repo, did you pull
it from http:// or https://? You need to commit through the repo via
the https:// address as the http:// one is read-only.

Did the commiters get deactivated due to the licencing issues already?

That could be the case if you did not agree to the new licencing terms
yet, I believe you need to talk to Chandler or so.

That's not supposed to happen until the 14th.

Yes, this is a dumb configuration on a mailing list; it's out of my control.

Thanks.]

Correct, I checked out the SVN via https.

I'm unfamiliar with any new licensing terms; I agreed to the terms
presented several years ago when I obtained commit privileges.

(re-adding the cfe-dev list)

I’m not sure about the password reset process. My guess would be that you send your username and a new password hash to Chris and ask him to reset your password, but perhaps emailing llvm-admin@lists.llvm.org first to confirm what the password reset process is would be a good idea. (And once you’ve found out, it would be awesome to follow up here so that we can add it to the documentation.)
