IMPORTANT: Change of release tarball. Yes, again.

Dear All,

The release tarball was just reverted to old (original) state.

This is what I have locally:

$ shasum llvm-3.2.src.tar.gz
42d139ab4c9f0c539c60f5ac07486e9d30fc1280 llvm-3.2.src.tar.gz

Please let me know asap, if something is still broken.

I'm confused. Does the release tarball now match RELEASE_32/final or
not? If not, that's a problem for those of us who count on the
repository matching the actual release.

At the very least they should match so we can check out the release at
some point in the future.

It would be nice if someone could fix up 3.1 to sync things up.

David,

It will be. I'm in the middle of merge :slight_smile:

They should match now

While the sizes now match the SHA256 checksum do not match the original
compressed tarballs.

/usr/ports/devel/llvm # sha256 /usr/ports/distfiles/llvm-3.2.src.tar.gz
SHA256 (/usr/ports/distfiles/llvm-3.2.src.tar.gz) = 265109c71b4fab8dc12ced314955921695c1ef549719553b0bc1e325110e143e
root@sex:/usr/ports/devel/llvm # ls -l /usr/ports/distfiles/llvm-3.2.src.tar.gz
-rw-r--r-- 1 root wheel 12275252 15 Jan 08:21 /usr/ports/distfiles/llvm-3.2.src.tar.gz
/usr/ports/devel/llvm # cat distinfo
SHA256 (llvm-3.2.src.tar.gz) = 125090c4d26740f1d5e9838477c931ed7d9ad70d599ba265f46f3a42cb066343
SIZE (llvm-3.2.src.tar.gz) = 12275252
root@sex:/usr/ports/devel/llvm #

They do here.

Joerg

Here is mine,

$ wget http://llvm.org/releases/3.2/llvm-3.2.src.tar.gz
$ sha256 llvm-3.2.src.tar.gz
SHA256 (llvm-3.2.src.tar.gz) = 125090c4d26740f1d5e9838477c931ed7d9ad70d599ba265f46f3a42cb066343
$ ls -l llvm-3.2.src.tar.gz
-rw-r--r-- 1 chenwj wheel 12275252 1 15 05:21 llvm-3.2.src.tar.gz

  Are you sure the tarball is the right one downloaded from the website?

It is now.

I suspect I know what happened. Because the other tarball was
shorter than this one, fetch attempted to complete the download
rather than doing a new transfer which "succeeded". Looking
at the contents of the two files confirms appears to confirms
this suspicion.

Sorry for the noise.
