Initial tokens

If I parse an empty file with a few breakpoints set to watch what's going on
I see that there must be something predefined to give 25 calls to ConsumeToken for
example. What are they and where are these pushed in?

I don't understand your debug dump, but it is probably the predefines buffer. You can see it when you use -E. It is where things like -include and -D options get dropped into.
