Maybe we're using different architectures?
I'm on the amd64 version of Ubuntu, with multilibs installed.
Either way, it's probably best to just issue warnings. (Assuming there's
any difference between warnings and errors in ./configure.)
(Good thing Ubuntu comes with a 4.2 gcc...)
