  • Approve previous meeting minutes
  • 2025 Budget Approval
    • Executive Director compensation [Finance Committee]
      • Finance committee members prepared a comprehensive review of similar 501(c)(3) executive director compensation levels, and proposed raising our executive director compensation to be competitive.
      • Motion: Vote to approve the resolution to adjust the Executive Director salary to $100,000/year, effective Jan 1 2025. Unanimously approved, minus Chris Lattner and Tanya Lattner
      • Adopted a policy to do annual reviews to ensure the salary stays in line with market condition
    • Adjusted budget to include adjusted Executive Director compensation
      • Motion: Approve the 2025 budget: passed unanimously
    • AsiaLLVM approval (approved as part of the 2025 budget)
    • Agreed to set goals for the Foundation in 2025 that can be evaluated at end-of-year. [Finance Committee]
      • The foundation management and board will use the established goals to help set employee incentives during the annual review process.
  • Follow-up from previous meeting
    • Program director job search update
    • Meetup funding inquiry (no policy yet)
      • Policy should recommend using meetup.com app with the official LLVM organization
      • Helps to advertise and grow the event, potentially increase diversity, also provides a guest count estimate
      • Reid will double check with Nick about the cost estimate
      • Anna will check in about the Seattle event cost estimate
  • EuroLLVM Updates
    • Venue search continues
  • Working group meeting format update
    • No updates
    • Allison will draft a proposal for January, collaborating/reviewing with Tanya and anyone else who’s interested
  • Enzyme incubator status and follow-up
    • The Foundation’s role is to facilitate the incubator process. If the community pushes the incubation forward, the Foundation is ready to approve creating Discourse categories, adding git repos under github.com/llvm, adding enzyme.llvm.org, or any other infrastructure support
  • GSoC 2024 update
    • Officially all wrapped up
    • For next year, looking to clarify the deliverables required to pass: a blog post, and potentially a recorded talk for the developer meeting
    • LLVM is one of the few organizations who has participated in GSoC over the last 15 years.
    • GSoC continues to support our mission of “support education and advancement of the field of compilers” by creating opportunities for students, even if we have a low (~10%) rate of conversion from student to long-time project contributor.
