As previously announced, the LLVM Foundation will be holding strategic planning meetings to set the direction for our programs over the next 3-5 years. The Grants & Scholarships strategic meeting planning will be held Feb 27 at 12pm PST, and Feb 28th at 8:30am PST. See the end of this post for the Zoom details.
What is this meeting?
This meeting is to discuss changes and enhancements to the Grants & Scholarships program. Currently, it provides support for student presenter travel to the LLVM Developers’ Meetings and other compiler related conferences with an annual budget of around $50,000.
Who should attend?
Any community member interested in this program and helping it reach more students and impact on the LLVM project. We especially invite those in academia, past recipients, and those with experience with other grant programs such as this.
What will you discuss during the meeting?
The meeting will go into details about the current program (i.e. selections criteria, who is involved, outreach efforts, etc.) and metrics of success. We will then pose questions to attendees to discuss changes we could make to improve and grow the program. While the board may have some ideas to share to spark discussion, the primary goal is to get feedback and ideas from the community.
What if I can’t make it?
While we prefer most ideas and question be done through the zoom meeting, we realize that the timing not work for everyone. You may submit your questions or feedback about the program through this google form.
