Now that we released the first release candidate for LLVM 19.x I wanted to provide an update.
RC2 will be released on Monday 5th of August instead of August 6th since I will be travelling next week. Make sure you review backports before that if you have something that should be included in this RC.
As we pass the second RC we should make sure we are more conservative with the fixes we pick. Make sure you don’t submit backports for things except regressions and important bug fixes. New features will have to wait until LLVM 20 at this point.
There is a lot of open issues for the 19.x milestone, I ask all maintainers and devs to please have a look if there are issues that can be approved or closed at this point.
