In continuing the Women in Compilers and Tools Virtual Meetup Series

On June 24th, 2021, we’ll be hearing from Compiler Engineer, Uma Srinivasan with From Packing Decimals With Cobol to Optimizing Tweets With Scala: A Journey Through Space, Time, & Culture with Compilers.

This talk will give you glimpses into a 30 odd year journey in engineering industry compilers and surrounding technologies. Through her observations and experiences, Uma hopes to highlight the ubiquity of compiler technology as it adapts through time and evolves with the changing environment and culture. She will also share her learnings, hoping to instill confidence and inspire women engineers in their exciting journey ahead.
