Cambridge Compiler Social

We are organizing a compiler social event in the Computer Laboratory, University of Cambridge, UK.

This will happen next week on the 7th Feb 2024. There will be a talk by @TobiasGrosser at 3pm, followed by 4hs of open socialization.

Our social is an unguided space offered for you to get to know people, try out some new ideas, get feedback on your code, or pair-program on a difficult program. Come with just a paper notebook or bring your laptop to hack on some in-progress patches.

If you are planning to go, please register on the website (it’s just a Google form) to help us plan the numbers for the food order.

Unlike previous LLVM socials, this even isn’t happening near the train station, so it’ll be hard for people to reach if it they do not live in or around Cambridge. There are some busses that serve Madingley Road (Uni, 4), there’s a large bicycle rack and some parking spaces in front of the building.

The event is in the LLVM Calendar, as usual.

There is also a taxi rank in front of the station. If folks are planning on coming up from London, it might be worth coordinating on sharing taxis (Uber works well for the opposite direction).

I am going to be at State of Open Con and so sadly can’t make this one, but looking forward to the next one!
